Hi guys.. visiting here from norcal and was just wondering if anyone know any hot pot buffet around here. i know in the bay there's hot pot city and stuff so if you're familiar with that and know of a similar place here in socal hook it up with the info.. thx.

like shabu shabu.. if you don't know basically there's a stove in the middle of the table.. they have a pot with beef or chicken stock.. and some places have a grill around it.. than there's a buffet bar with raw meat, veggies, seafood, dessert, etc and you go and grab the stuff and throw it on the pot/grill and eat as its done

 

you mean like korean or japanese BBQ?

 

yea.. kinda.. but its more soup-centric as opposed to bbq

 

o i gotcha... hmm ive only been to BBQ places and i forgot where those were too LoL... sorry im not much help... but you can PM "gametox" he works at a Japanese BBQ and prob hook it up... and hopefully someone else will chime in and help you out?

 

there's a great one in mannhattan beach, great shabu shabu, don't know the adress or name though

 

hmm.. there wouldn't be a baskin robbins a couple doors down would there? i think i've seen it when i went down to the curry house there

 

there is this place called "woo lae oak" on la cienega blvd in bevelry hills... its really tastey but the service sucks. there arent any crock pots but its koran bbq where you cook your own meat...

I like this one placed called Hot Pot City in San Gabriel. Its like on the corner of Del Mar and Valley, behind the Focus plaza.

 

i thought it was a new kind of weed lol

 

I think there is one place like that around Glendale area, it's in at the Marketplace on Brand blvd, near old navy and just down stairs from the movie theatre....

Also another one on Colorado BLVD in Old Town Pasadena. Not sure what it's called though.

 

There is a restaurant in the Hong Kong plaza (I think that's the name of it) in Rowland Heights, on Colima, maybe 1-2 blocks east of Fullerton.... shopping plaza directly across the street from the SF Supermarket.

 

I like going to this place out in Monterey Park. There's actually two locations about 2 blocks away from eachother.
