I've done this install about 5 times and have found crazy glue to be the best adhesive.
Usually I wouldn't do this, but since my bumper is kinda chewed up from the road/debree and it's on the underside you won't see any blemishes from removal.
I used crazy glue to adhere the 3m tape to the splitter (HD garage door liner)
Once that is dry I then unpeal the 3m tape strip and mount it to the front bumper.
Once it is aligned correctly I can slowly peel back sections of the splitter from the bumper and apply bits of crazy glue.
u don't need a lot.
It holds up to almost anything and when I need to replace the splitter (just from wear) I can peel it off manually then scrub the residue off with a wire brush or scraper.
The front bumper isn't metal so I don't worry about removing clear coat or paint when I'm scrapping the adhesive away.
It's on the underside of the front bumper so it will never be seen anyway.
Not right now, already have possible buyers for asking price.
