I tried to figure out whether or not 07 Z springs would fit a first generation sedan, but was unable to find the exact information I was looking for within the 70+ page suspension sticky.
I am in SD as well, North County inland.
I think this is what I need to know:
1.
This is what I have today:
Oem linear springs
G35 coupes with oem 17’s & 18’s
G35 sedan’s with sport suspension
350Z’s 2003/2004 (unrevised)
Front:314 Rear:342
2.
This is what I'd be moving to with your springs:
Oem linear springs
G35 coupes 2005/2006 with oem 19’s only
350Z 2004.5 to 2008 (revised suspension)
Front:314 Rear:427
And it looks like this member ran a similar setup on his 1st gen sedan: https://g35driver.com/forums/steerin...z-springs.html
Now all I believe that I still need to know is whether or not I can meet stock Sedan or Coupe alignment specs with this setup.
Any idea?
Mike

Understood. It's a point of confusion for many as the Nissan FM platform (G35 Sedan/Coupe and 350Z) can share many of the underpinings as long as you know exactly when things changed between generations (for instance, a 2007 G35 Sedan is quite a bit different than a 2004).
These boards are the best place to figure things out since dealers and shops try to steer you clear of any type of modification because they don't want to inherit any liability.
How many miles were on the springs when you swapped them out ? 40k or so ?
These normally go pretty quick here because it's an instant .5 drop on the coupe and 1" drop on the sedan, so it's odd that nobody has made you an offer yet.
Also, since you have the later "revised' springs, the spring rates in the rear are increased for better handling when coupled with some good shocks like Tokico HP Blues.
