Austin & Houston meet?

How interested would the Houston VQs be in having an Austin & Houston Meet in Houston on April 17th?

We would need a place to meet, eat, and sleep. Accommodations, events, and dining are all up for discussion. Once we hammer out all the ideas I will create a new thread to start a list of attendees and final details. For now this is a feeler thread and all ideas and suggestions are welcomed.

Hey sounds cool. Wouldn't mind meeting up with you guys. What's the occassion for anyways? Our SGS group plans on holding a mega-meet for the entire state of Texas sometimes this year for G owners. I think it's going to be in Austin. We plan on doing this annually and each year it will be hosted in a different city such as San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, Austin.

Anyways. I wouldn't mind to meet more G owners. How long do you guys plan on staying and how many people are coming?

^^^ we at CentexVQ were also talking about hosting a large Texas meet in Austin and having all other cities invited. We would help out with hotel accomodations, food, events, etc...

The occasion for visiting Houston is simply to help the G/Z community in Texas come together. Every large city in Texas has a G/Z car club. Dallas has DFW G35 Owners club, San Antonio has Team 210 VQ'Z, Houston is Strictly G's, and Austin has CentexVQ.

CentexVQ has meet previously with members from San Antonio, but never with Dallas or Houston, so why not start doing so. Besides it gives us a good reason to drive to Houston and party. We don't know how many of us are coming yet since we are still in the planning stages, but we are exited about meeting you guys.

Later in the year we plan on visiting Dallas, and towards the end of the year hosting a TX meet in Austin.

Great idea. I'm game. Just throwing it out there, but Import Reactor is at the very end of April if you want to meet in conjunction with the show.

It would be good if you guys would let us know the dates that are available in April so that we can plan accordingly.

It need not be the same thing as anything we have planned. Let's just simplify it and host CentexVQ on April 17th like originally suggested so as not to complicate things like we (StrictlyG's) tend to do.

mt7rabbit, approximately how many do you think we can expect? Just a ball park figure to let us try to locate a place, accommodations, restaurant to reserve possibly, etc.

^^^I think a good guess would be 16 cars with probably 24 people total.
