You know, stuff always happens like this right before you sell the car.

Ouch that hurts. Hopefully you weren't too far out so the tow billl won't be much.

My 05 G35 had a piece of metal, about 1/4 inch thick, and about 7-8 inches long and 2-3 wide get picked up by my front left tire, and it punchered a hole in the bottom of the foot pan of my car on the driver side. The carpet is the only thing that stopped it from coming in and hitting me. I had to get the body shop to weld and repaint the bottom of the car to fix that.

Don't feel bad G...if it makes you feel any better I had something fall on my car or someone threw something Friday night as I was driving home. I have two nice size dents in my roof causing my sunroof to open and close, a baseball sized dent above the rear passenger side quarter glass and a crease by the rear wheel well. I missed Import Wars on Saturday morning and who knows what else is to come. Hope all goes well.

Thats painters tape used to protect the bumper from rock chips and road debris. A lot of us do it when traveling far especially to a show.

Just gotta take it all in stride. Three weeks ago I was going to get my car tuned at night. On the highway was a LOG, in which I ran over hard going 70mph. There was no way for me to swerve b/c there were cars next to me in each lane. Bent both drivers side wheels bad on the inner lip, and the front had the polished lip slightly bent. The front tire (only 2 months old) got a big bubble in it.

So I had to immediately pull over, exit the highway, and stop somewhere safe. Was able to pull into a McDonalds parking lot. Called my boy who had to drive 30 minutes to pick me up, drive to my house another 30 minutes to pick up two stock wheels, drive back and swap them out. Just got the repaired wheels back on Wednesday of last week.
