oooooooooooo...i know what you are talking about..........i didnt think to paint that part.........i think that little peice may have something to do with reflecting light as well

nah i didnt sand them......i figured, just let the paint dry long enough and because nothing ever really touches the paint once put back together......it should be fine

Really? what brand and type of paint did you use? I've painted 2 sets already, and i've found that the areas that i've missed during the painting process eventually chip off.

its the flat black color...................now...i just did this last night and i havent put them on my car yet.....and this was only my first time doing this .....so there is the possibility that something could go wrong, like in your case....mine could chip as well.......but ill just have to wait and see

Yeah from what I have read you don't need to sand the housings or anything. Mike used Duplicolor Acrylic Enamel. I've seen good results with his paint and also with Krylon Fusion.


EDIT: Mike already posted, I think you'll be good Mike!! As long as you did nice even coats.

theres only one way to tell vic...........someone get myth busters on the line...lol........i could check and see but it would require me to take the light apart again

mixturepinoy........did you use any type of sealant like silicone or anything......do you ever have any problems with condesation or anything???......im planning on sealing it with silicone.......do i really need to???

Hey Mike you should use silicone to be on the safe side. Did you bake them and seal it together already? After it dries up, you definately wanna use some clear rtv silicone to be on the safe side.

Mike you don't have a job...so you have plenty of time to take them back apart

Do you have a matching Strawberry Shortcake bib to go with that tablemat?

On my first set I did get condensation, but not much. I do recommend headlight seal if you think you removed too much on your tools. you can get it at your local auto parts store or the dealer. I didnt see any problems with my second set.. That's because i used a heat gun and small C-Clamps to make sure I had a tight seal.

Yeah mike seal them bad boys... i heard of using aquarium glue also... looks good mike... just saw the pics... you customizer!!!
