that was overseas somewhere......you have to take into account that the U.S. version of the GTR doesnt have any limitations like the other ones where you have to be at a track to really open it up.............but who knows what the hell happened with that race

Im sure the Z06 was also detuned a little because of the overseas emissions also. This has been descused to death already. and the Z06 always comes out on top. Its cheaper, lighter and more powerful in everyway. Maybe if the GTR lost 500lbs! If anyones has ever driven in a new Z06 its crazy they are like a go cart on steroids! Has no trunk, 2 seats all aluminum and fiberglass body fully Titanium parts. big A$$ 7 liter engine. No waiting for supercharger to lose highend power or waiting for turbos to kick in. Hell its a 10 sec car stock! Im not taking anything away from the new GTR but for it to be a real competitor with the new Z06 its going to have to really impress me and so far im not impressed.

10 sec car stock? try high 11s. but like you said, its just a big engine. a gt-r is a full street car with similar performance. either way, it comes down to personal preference and id take the gt-r anyday over a overpowered cavalier.
