Washi aluminum finish removal
Does anyone have any experience with this? and/or does anyone know of any DIY for the removal of the washi finish?
I am looking into wrapping this surface for a different interior look.
Just by touching the washi, it looks like it just comes off with a flat head screwdriver. But I havent tried it. Anyone?
Thanks guys.

You can probably just sand it down to be ready for paint.
Personally, I love the look of the stock trim.

your not referring to the owners manual right? I looked through that and found nothing in relation to the washi trim removal.
thanks.

my dealer told me they could install aftermarket wood trim which i really wanted (no car color combos I wanted with OEM rosewood trim available in the entire area). so i bought a BO/wheat sedan and took the 450 dollar plunge for the trim.
turns out they had all the washi trim painted dark glossy wood grain and reinstalled into the car. i was seriously pissed when i found out it wasnt real wood, but when i saw it i loved the way it looked, so i let it go.
anyway point is it can be done, and done well.
