SPC Front Camber Arms for the win!!!

I spoke with Eddie from THMotorsports a couple weeks ago about the status of these Front Camber Arms for the 2nd Gen G35. He gave me Charlie’s phone number at SPC and I spoke with him 2 weeks ago about willing to be a test car if there current test car they were using never worked out.

Luck happens to have come my way as I got a call back last Wednesday (January 14th) asking me if I wanted to be the test car for these front camber arms because it seems there previous test car flaked out on them.

They overnighted me the Arms and I received them Thursday. I went to Scott at Cardinal Plaza Shell in Springfield, VA on Sunday to install them.

The rules for me receiving these Control Arms for free were:
  1. Take the pictures requested in the instructions
  2. Have 5 Alignment reading done. (1 before camber arms installed, 4 after)
a.) One before installing the arms

b.) Ball Joint in the Negative Position - Ball Joint all the way Inward

c.) Ball Joint in the Negative Position - Ball Joint all the way Outward

d.) Ball Joint in the Positive Position - Ball Joint all the way Inward

e.) Ball Joint in the Positive Position - Ball Joint all the way Outward

I have attached the pic’s and alignment sheets I sent SPC (as they said I should spread the word). Disregard the bad quality of the pic’s. I forgot to bring my camera but took these with my iPhone.

Pic’s below are some I took showing clearance of the arms.

SPC Front Camber Arms:

Thanks again to:
- Eddie for getting me in contact with SPC.
- Greg from sales (@SPC)
- Charlie from Engineering (@SPC) for giving me this chance to be the test car.
- Jeff from Engineering (@SPC) for the detailed instructions making this task a breeze to do.

Cost of multiple Alignments (5 total) - Not a lot thanks to Scott at Cardinal Plaza Shell
Cost of the SPC Front Camber Arms - $0
Savings over the years from having an aligned front end - Priceless!

Yup. This kit will fit the AWD models in addition to the non AWD models (Journey, Sport, Base).

THMotorsports will get the first batch I'm told.

The engineers have a different date then the sales guys but I think end of February would be the earliest they would be out. I asked about price but they couldn't give me an exact MSRP price.

Just thought I'd post as I never understood what the delay was and finally after talking to SPC found out that they were waiting on some dingleberry to send them the information found above. Now that they have the information they should be out soon.

I have to ask... Are the stock camber arms not set to an optimal setting? With these SPC adjustable camber arms, what benefits will you expect to see?
Thanks.

These SPC Camber arms will allow for a greater Camber and Toe range. This will help in putting your car in Stock specs during an alignment after you dropped your car.

With my Eibach Springs, I needed the rear alignment kit cause even with a maxed out stock rear toe settings, I was still way out of spec and would have burnt through tires quickly.

THM keeps pushing the date back... I pre-ordered in Dec and then got a refund. I will get these as soon as they come out. I have lifetime alignment for free So I don't mind.

Car rides beautifully and tires are wearing evenly. Other then that I don’t have much to say (other then they rock!).

Remeber people, this is a one time expense that saves you money over the long haul by keeping your tires in alignment and not wearing out as often. Tires cost more then this alignment kit and will save you money in the long haul.

DONT BE CHEAP.
