Interface System for iPod

I have an 08 Journey without any packages. Can I pick up the Interface System for the iPod and have it installed?

Or is there another way to hook my ipod up with using the inputs in the center console?

The module from everythingg35.com is one of the best options for you. I have it and it works great. Read this thread from a while ago.

Does it charge your ipod while its plugged in and does it shut off when you turn the car off?
Are you able to use the steering wheel mounted controls, or do you have ot use the buttons on the radio to go through the playlist?

Yes and Yes

Only the steering wheel volume works as far as the iPod goes. The source button will still cycle through radio presets and cd as usual and your bluetooth connection (if you have) to your phone is unaffected.
You play music by your choice of Playlist, Song, Artist, Genre, Albums or Composer.
The Ipod equalizer settings work and can add nice effect to the sound quality as well. You have to select the EQ you want throught the iPod though.
Here is a pic of screen with iPod playing. As you can see it appears as XM because you are using the satellite harness in the trunk.

That's the right one.
Re: the satellite - I did not select yes. You only need the extra $25 harness if you have, or intend to have, satellite radio installed.
BTW, service was pretty good too. My order arrived in 4 business days to Ontario, Can.

At least for my gen 5 ipod video, it charges but it does not shut it off with engine off. my ipod stays on until the battery is drained.

Wait Wait Wait, I thought the Ipod integration kit only worked on the 07 Gs so far. I've asked this question in the past and people have told me that it will not display any song information on the head unit when installed on a 2008 G35. Now has something changed that I don't know about?

Is there a difference between an 07 & 08 Journey? IDK.
Better to ask the the guys at everythingg35.com (ph-1.866.374.3414)

All it says on their website is:
"this model does not work with early 2003 G35 Sedans (production date before 09/02) as they are not satellite capable and 2007+ G35 Sedans that are equipped with Navigation and XM's Navtraffic. "

Not sure if there's a difference between the 07 & 08 Journey but a few months back I spoke to PAC http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...Input%20Cables (who I thought were the people who made the harness) and they told me they haven't yet released a version that wil work with the 08 model.

Now is the connections from PAC different to those from EverythingG35?

I don't know about the PAC unit. The kit from everythingg35 is Nissan OEM parts.
