Houston Wheel Repair?

So I had my G for two weeks and while in a parking lot some a$$ in a jacked up truck takes a left turn almost right into me and I had to swerve to the right and caught my rear right rim on the curb. It got pretty shaved up. No real structural damage (unfortunately, since I have the roadhazard) but it is really freaking annoying to have the 180 degrees of rim scraped on the lip. I had heard that there are repair shops who can fix them while I was at lunch today and I'm wondering if anyone knows of a shop that will fix wheels. I'm so used to driving an SUV that I barely noticed the scrape on the curb otherwise I'd have turned around and chased the truck down (which may be a good thing because as mad as I ended up , the hospital/legal fees would have been more than the cost to replace the wheel!).

Anyway, I'm rambling - if anyone knows of a place, let me know. Or if it really can't be done, let me know that, too, so I just have to accept the wheel until I buy a whole new set.

I saw an ad for a wheel repair place that said $109 max to fix any rim so I may just look into that. The name of the place is called "Wheels of America" - if anyone has any experience with them, let me know.

Oh, and I was having issues with my camera and couldn't get a good picture of the whole wheel, but the scrape is basically over 180 degrees of the tire (half).

Hi StoutAg35, did you get your wheel fixed? If you don't mind, could you let me know where you get your wheel fixed and how much you paid for it?
Thanks!!

Same thing happened to me this evening...

Was there any fix that would work besides buying another rim? Right rear as well...

I ended up just not bothering with it...which was tough. I see it every week when I clean my wheels and tires and thing "Man, this sucks!" I imagine if it were the driver's side I would have to do something about it since it would drive me crazy to see it every day.

Another vote for Sabs. They can fix almost anything, even Wheels America (the Houston branch) sends stuff their way.

If you want, you can also go the DIY route. More hassle, but much cheaper.

do you have a number for them? I tried calling them, but it went to a cell v. mail and no one returned my v.mail.

Also, do you know if they can fix just the damaged area without painting the whole wheel?

thx

Try this, it's been a while since i've last been there but the # should still be the same.

# 713 772 6813

They can do without repainting the whole wheel, at least that's what they did with mine, but the catch is you'll see remnants of the repair process. Mine was somewhat visible in the inner barrel. Although, it just depends on which part was damaged.
