Angry Hail Storm!!!

Anybody else in North Austin got hit with the hail storm? Although my car was parked under a roof cover, just when I thought I got away with it, there it hit me, while I was drying the car after washing away all the tree leaves carried by the hail store, I spotted three small dents on the edge of the trunk. , now need to call PDR next week to pull them out, should have gotten a spoiler... ... Austin weather sucks...

We had a spot hail storm here in Mass last week one afternoon when it was like 85 degrees out. The weather suddenly changed in a matter of like 5 minutes, clouds rolled in... the heaviest rain I've ever seen and massive wind plus about a minute of hail. Then about 10 minutes later it was sunny and nice out again.

Fortunately and amazingly, my G had no damage to it.... which surprises me, because I'd swear the paint is soo soft that bugs hitting the front bumper on the highway often leave paint imperfections or chips.... nevermind hail falling from several thousand feet in the sky.

anybody knows if PDR will damage or discolor either the clearcoat or the actual paint in the long run?

Professional dent removal - and no - depending on the depth of the dent and the quality of the removal, it shouldn't cause any damage.

Sucks dude! Good luck with the repairs. That cloud came down south but did not drop any hail when it got here luckily.

Negative... PDR is Paintless Dent Repair. It's a method of pushing dents out from the inside of the panel instead of replacing it and painting. It only works if the car wasn't hit hard enough to have cracked the paint (ie.e small/medium size hail). I've had PDR done and the car looked flawless afterwards.
