Great job Eric! Outdoor BBQ sounds good. Just as along as the park is "dumped car friendly"

 

How many people do you think will actually show up? If we are going to do BBQ I say let's look at Salt Lick. It's a little out of the way, but would provide a nice pre-dinner cruise before we eat. I'm just concerned we might have too many people. Just my .02.

I'm in the restaurant business and would be glad to volunteer setting up some sort of reservations for us wherever we decide to eat. I would just need a rough estimate of how many people we would bring. That's a hard thing to guess if we don't find out beforehand who would be interested in going out to eat after the meet. Maybe start taking a head count on here to see if we could get some sort of idea? Let me know if I can help.

Maybe I missed it but what time is the meet supposed to begin?

 

^^more than likely 90% of those who show up will be eating with us, I made the reservations last year and my estimate was 56 people. It looks to be a little more this year, we have 37 cars so far and we'll probably add about 12 more by the time we cruise. Also take into consideration some people bring significant others so maybe about 60 or so total.

Hey Blue Dream if you can help us out with the reservations that would be awesome!

BTW I say we shoot for a 1:00pm meeting time in San Marcos.

Food reservations are under finalization with the help of M7Rabbit and Blue Dream. Once I have the final information I'll update the first post with time and address. 24 more days!!!

 

I have a list of possible locations, I'm narrowing it down to 2 or 3. We're going to need help from someone who lives near San Marcos to check these places out and see if they are drop friendly with plenty of parking. Does anyone live near/around San Marcos that can help out?

 

I will try to make this if my car is out of the body shop by then (got rear ended).

 

Have you communicated this with Blue Dream? I talked with him on the phone 2 days ago and I know he has been contacting several restaurants in San Marcos. I travel to Austin a lot so let me know which one's you have in mind and I'll go up there to check the locations out for capacity and parking.
