tpms wheel sensor

I went to discount tire yesterday to change out my 275 30 20 tire and I was told that all four of my tpms sensors were broken because i didnt have enough room inbetween my wheel and tire. And they want to charge $500 to change out all sensors and said I need bands to hold the sensor down flat on the wheel so they don't break. Does anyone know where to get this Done cheaper? And is it really necessary to get new sensors?

I don't think it's "necessary" to have them, but it's recommended you should. As far as finding tpms sensors cheap you might want to try the forum, but I had to get one awhile back ago and just went with discount tire.
