FYI: License plate law change
A few weeks ago I got a ticket from a fat POS cop for "an improperly displayed front license plate" because my plate is in my windshield. He sited me under state code 502.404. Well I did some research and the law changed on January 1st this year. Registration and license plates used to be covered together under state code 502 but now only registration is under 502 and licenses plates are under 504.
Previously some have interpreted the old law to require you to keep your plate on your bumper and not the windshield. Under the new law (transportation code 504.943) you are required to have 2 plates but it doesn't specify where. It actually says you must "comply with department rules regarding the placement of license plates." So then you go to the Department of Transportations website and it says "placement or mounting is not defined."
Long story short I fought the ticket and had it dismissed. So anyone else gets a ticket for this hopefully this h

A buddy of mine just got his second ticket here a couple weeks back for not having his plate on Nismo 350z front bumper, and with the bumper it has, I can definitely understand why he didn't want to drill holes into it. So he ordered the hide-away plate mount thats controlled by a remote, and this thing is pretty awesome, so when he got pulled over again, he hit the button and the plate came up, and the cop is sitting there with a confused look. But all in all, I believe it depends on the county, officer, and whatever they are enforcing, I've always had my plates on my windshield, and I live right by a police station, so I'm constantly passing by officers without a problem, not to say that I haven't been pulled over for it before (at the Oklahoma texas border by a state trooper).

True.. But most cops just give a warning about the front plate... My buddy was told to not leave the license plate on the windshield/visor by a trooper, because during a wreck it will decapitate you.
