Noise in back when speeding up

This does not happen all the time but sometimes when I speed up only when I press on the accelerator I hear this metal on metal sound coming from the back, as soon as I let go of the accelerator the sound is gone, when I accelerate again its back, I dunno could it be pad rubbing against rotor???

Thanks

I have the same problem, sort of like a humming sound, only when I press on the gas, right rear, can't be the wheel bearing otherwise I'd hear all the time.

May be an exhaust leak. I know it sounds strange but I have had one before on my last car and it sounds different once it comes through the cabin.

Same Problem!

I just picked up an 07 coupe last week, and am having the exact noise. A friend and I spent about an hour and a half trying to figure it out. After a lot of trial and error we think its coming from where the suspension attaches to the car. When your in the car is sounds like a speaker is loose but we dropped the seat and I rode around with my head in the trunk and its definitely not speakers, its something in the right side of the car. I hope its the suspension at this point and the easy fix is to tighten it. The cars is going in to the dealer for it on May 17th. I will repost when the problem is finally fixed.

Your license plate is probably loose and rattling when accelerating

Just got the car back from the Infiniti dealer. Rattle is not fixed, they have to order a part. There are two different things that is can be and the most common is a part behind the rear seats that connects to the side pillar. The bolts that connect the two pieces come short from the factory and tend to come loose. Creating a metal on metal rattle. I will take the car back in next week for hopefully a final fix. I will post the results.

could be your rear end bearings, is it kind of a howling or growling type noise?

The noise is a metal on metal clanking noise. Happens about every 3 to 5 seconds. Sometimes a little bit longer depending the road surface. I really think its coming from the rear right suspension. The sound come through right near the rear seatbelt/ rear seat area. A friend and I put the seat down and he laid back there while I drove around, we really think thats what it is. The car is going back in on June 4th. Hopefully for a final time. I will update as soon as its finished.

I have a metal on metal popping noise happening in my car to. Mine only occurs when i take a right hand turn into and entrance to a driveway or something. I think it may be suspension related, but i cant seem to figure it out. I have replaced the rear camber arms, the springs, and tightened everything down, and still no luck.

I need an answer as well. any more ideas?

maybe check your sway bar links? also do any of you have aftermarket suspension? did you use all the stock isolators?
