I just got it in the mail. do you know if they will be taking off the wheels to get to the headlights, cuz if they do I don't want them messing with my rims. PLUS I have yellow fog lights and peanut bulbs. should I take those out before I take it in.

what the hell? why would they drill hoes in them?!!?! screw that noise, when i bought the car, after 2 weeks i got the 3m protect film put on those puppies. so that would be a total waste of my money for that film for the headlight if they throw away my old ones....

im going to try to BS my way through it saying my 3m is re-usable and that i dont want them to try to re-attach my 3m onto my new ones cause i got warranty on them already and if they F with it then my warranty goes down drain. And if they put on new ones, my installer will know if its not his product if anything were to happend to it.

i dont want dimmer lights either... i been reading from here and 6mt that after this, the lights are dimmer??!?!

did i just read this exact same post on 6mt?
anyway, they dont want people to use them or sell them because they would be responsible for them after all if headlights blow up and someone sues them.

so I am scheduled to have my headlights replaced on wed.

I think I will have a clear bra put on at the same time so they stay nice and scratch free....the dealership quoted me 400 plus tax

is that a good deal ??

What if we changed our '04 lights to '06, does this recall apply to all 06's, if not how would I know? Would they even still change them?

Had mine changed out this morning. Took about an hour and a half.
After I got home, I noticed that the whole assembly (both sides) looked
a little "off" !! Like they weren't installed just quite right. Is it only me ??
Anyone else have this problem. Maybe just my imagination !!

Ok so to set this straight, What exactly is this going to be fix? From my understanding, a crooked cut-off line that could blind other oncoming drivers, Right?

Does this affect the lighting output and/or brightness of the bulbs?

For those of you who have had this done already, what (if you know) was replaced and done? And what was left "alone"?

Is this fix mandatory?

Same problem here. The left lamp fits perfectly, the right one has a noticeably larger gap between the lamp and the hood. At night, the halo in front of the car, on the pavement, is not even. The right side projects a few feet higher than the left. I'll have them take care of that the next time I bring it in.

If you need to get this done, I'd say wait until they get some more experience on this repair.

They just didn't aim them, you can do this yourself, put the car on a level surface 25ft from a wall, and adjust the cutoff so its a few inches lower than the projector height and so the top of both cutoffs line up evenly
