Synchros are shot. This happened quickly with a lot of early 2003 350Z's too.

A total failure will be covered up to the day of warranty expiration but noise is quite another thing for the USED CAR Buyer.

Especially since used buyers are supposed to pay for detailed prebuy inspections by certified/qualified experts not just randomly buy any old used car that looks pretty....................AS IS is often as is even with a warranty against total component failure.
I'm not the first owner of my g35 and I have not experienced anything like this at my dealership. They take care of anything I bring up about my car. If you are going to make that argument you'd never be able to move because the dealership you bought it from is the place that made money from you in the sale and therefore have a reason to make you happy so that you are a return customer.

Infiniti/Nissan's warranty clearly states that it is fully transferable BTW.

im sorry but if the dealer told you it was normal and you believed them, then you're an idiot. gears should not grind when operating correctly.

Bak on topic-my 5th would grind when above 45mph. tranny was replaced along with clutch due to bad synchros. Im also the 3rd owner of my car but ibought it with 22k miles. original owner had it for a couple hundred miles. Dealers have not given me any problems whats o ever.

You may not even have 2 months. The key is date of service (or something similar in name) when the car went into use. My 2004's date is in November 2003. Since the warranty is 6 years or 70k, you are probably over on time already unless the car was first purchased or leased in the last 2 months of this year - unlikely since the 2003 model came out late 2002/Q1 2003. It's probably already over on time, NOT mileage.

Grinding? RUN. Or make fixing the problem a condition of buying the car. Look into extended drivetrain warranty, if you really want to buy the car and can ignore the grinding. Just realize it won't be a lot longer until you cannot shift into 3rd.

6 years or 70k, based on the original month - not the whole year. Whichever comes FIRST. I don't even have 60k but my basic warranty ended in late 2007. Ask me how I know.

Absolutely true. so long as we're talking original warranty. Extended or third party warranties, I'd check the fine print if it didn't come from Infiniti/NNA. It's like moving from one state to another, any owner with a valid warranty can get warranty service. Some dealers are aggressive about not honoring warranty claims, just stay away from them. If the owner is uninformed enough to pay out of pocket for work that should be warranty work, then they will get taken advantage of at the wrong place.
