Passenger side

This is for a 05 G35x sedan. So the axle doesn’t feel like it’s going through all the way . I pushed it in and heard the CLICK*, but that’s how far it’s goes.

theres play when you tug it, but not enough to pull it out or fall out.

Any ideas or thoughts? Please thank you

It only goes as far as it goes, the snap ring will engage and you won't be able to just pull it out by hand. There will be a slight gap between the CV joint housing and the transfer case, otherwise the two would be rubbing.
