hey um just wondering if anyone out there cracked our ECU for flashing like the EVO/WRX/SRT have done already....and i mean the real sh*t not this cipher thing or these other stupid OBD readers and stuff they have i mean real mapping and injector pulse and timing and changing rev limit and fuel cuts...and programming in a 2step i mean come on i think we are behind here in the tuner game when all we have is the UTEC (OK) and emanage (which sucks *****) and half of us dont feel like spenidng an arm and a leg on the HKS Fcon....anyone have any information about this...post or PM me

TechnoSquare has a couple of reflash options for the G; Limited-Spec and Full-Spec, and I'm sure they'll do a full-custom tune if desired. Hit their site for an explanation of what's done under each reflash.

I recently got the F-Spec and am happy with it so far.

There are tuner-intensive options available, but the need isn't as much (so far) as it would be for a factory turbo-charged car like you mentioned.

Nothing that you can buy to DIY for under $8kish - and coincidentally, it's from Technosquare.

thanks for the info...im gonna check into it...i mean our cars are up there with the factory turbocharged cars and we are only NA...now the GT-R is coming out and going to be using our type of engine design and most likely the same electronics so i dunno why no one is working on fully cracking it so we can tune just like they do....

Cobb Tuning is close to releasing Z/G DIY flash and OBDII scan / logging / CAN tool just like they are known for with Subaru ECU's.

Check out the Cobb Tuning thread on 350Z site.

A few folks have cracked it (UpRev, TechnoSquare, Cobb) but I'm sure they see more $$$ on NOT selling the tool, but rather charging for each tune.

Oh well, that's what keeps boosting UTEC sales...

[another old thread - I didn't realize, sorry]
