In my opinion, HFC's are a must. The way I see it, performance wise, there isnt any point in freeing up the flow of the exhaust, when the cats are still very restrictive. They both compliment each other.

Header's, well they're very pricey (including labor) for what it gives you. You'll be fine without them.

I personally would not do the flash without the HFC's. Or you can do what OCG35 did; he wen't your route, but he's adding the HFC pretty soon and reflashing it again (discounted reflash- $150).

Either way, I'd add HFC to your list. Might not pass the test though

Thanks... I'm sure the HFC's would be a good improvement... but yeah I'd like to keep it smog legal if possible... Thanks...

you will see gains with the CAI, spacer and exhaust & ECU flash... the ECU is part critical... the main thing is getting A/F adjusted to take advantage.

My car was real sluggish right after HFC, went to TS today - as I suspected it was a little lean (15 or so)... Tadashi got it dialed in and the car runs real strong now.

The ECU definitely helps! I remember noticing the same thing after the first ECU flash when I had same mods as you CAI, exhaust, spacer. Without the flash you might see some gains, with the flash you should for sure.
