A flash isnt only for power. You have the wrong idea of a ecu reflash if only wanted to see hp gains.

An ecu reflash will correct any wrong mixtures; If you're running too lean, its bad for the engine. If you're running to rich, its also bad. And this will always be an issue with alot of bolt on mods (breather mods).

An ecu reflash will give you the perfect AFR, which should make your car feel more alive. It usually does give you anywhere around 10 hp & tq in the top and improve your powerband, but thats not everything that should matter with the flash.

skaterbasist is absolutely correct. The comment that a flash if NA does nothing could not be farther from accurate.

It is futile if you have no breather mods. It is completely pointless to reflash a stock car unless for whatever reason you want the rev limiter bumped up and the speed limited deleted.

On the other hand - if you have substantially increased the air intake and exhaust it is imperative to adjust the A/F... otherwise you will fall prey to the unknowing that think their new mods suck.

The Technosquare ECU also addresses drive by wire software that gives better throttle response. It is a real and viable alteration - I definitely felt it the original time and the updated version.

If you dispute this info you are ill-advised and/or simply do not have first hand experience and should research more.

The TS reflash is definitely worth it if you have the right exhaust. You don't. 3" piping with N/A is totally wrong, but it has nothing to do with needing exhaust "back pressure". It has to do with low RPM exhaust VELOCITY.

My advice? Keep the test pipes, dump the 3" exhaust and go Fast Int or Stillen, wait a week, re-dyno with the A/F ratios, send the results to TS for reflash. You will be happy.

Just get a 2.5 (or 2.25).

If you ask which exhaust is "better", you're going to get a ton of preferences and opinions.

In my mind, I like these 3 in order:

1) Stillen
2) Fast Intentions
3) HKS

Just see which one suits you best, and go on from there.

Goodluck man!
