Post UTEC/wideband self tuning

what wideband a/f monitor are you guys using with your utecs?

http://www.turboxs.com/shop_car3.php?car=15

5th product down, is this what you all use? i want to be able to tune my own car, i have a utec, don't even want to install it until i can monitor my a/f ratios.

Tell me your opinions/what you think is best. Thank you all

:confused2: :confused2: :confused2: :confused2:

Please i need some help everyone.

I just bought this utec for my g35 coupe. Now i found out that before i even install it and start playing with maps, that i NEED to buy a wideband tuner.

can someone tell me if this IS THE CASE??

And also what wideband tuners do those of you that have a utec use???

Once we have an a/f ratio is the tuning pretty easy???

thanks for those that can help

If your car doesn't come stock with widebands, you will need to add them. I browsed the utec manual for you but could't find any specific info. But I've seen it here or on the Z forums. Or call theire tech support?

Any wideband will do, using the TXS tuner or tuner pro (only two choices since they're all the same otherwise) just gives you the ability to log AFR's at the same time you're logging everything else. The tuner Pro adds an extra knock sensor and knock light. Do you need a wideband, no. Do you need a wideband to tune yourself on the street, yes. So if you get something like the AEM UEGO, it will work, but then you'd have to find a way of correlating AFR's to RPMS to TPS to MAF...etc..... GL, read and reread the manual

Is there a WB than can be data logged by the UTEC?

Oh looks like it does

Bosch LSU4 Wide band O2 sensor
Serial cable for use with a TurboXS UTEC

I use the Tuner Lite (or Reg) with mine. You can data log and make changes to your tune without even going to a different program.
