oh and make sure you have the bung welded on the top of the TP or wherever, eventually it will get residue from unburnt gas and **** up your readings unless you have it facing straight down from the top of the TP.

For the wind band is it bad to place the 2 o2 senors after the cats but placing them in the exhaust part? or does any have 2 o2 sensors in the stock cats? if so do you have pics

To make things easier can't you just crimp the original o2 sensor wires to the gauge and should work fine???

On the autometer site it states you can do that using the grey wire with a stripe I believe, sensor 1, bank 1.

As per Autometer Tips and Guides, "Air/Fuel Ratio – Oxygen Sensor Gauge Installation
Pin # 35 of the PCM or at the primary O2 sensor (bank 1, sensor 1) white wire w/blk stripe ."

Not really sure but, giving them a call wouldn't hurt either.

I was just thinking cause that would make a long job be very fast and simple if you can just crimp the lines.

0-1v is a narrow-band, 0-5v is wide-band. Stock O2 sensors on pre 05 cars are narrow-band and splicing would not work. Innovate says the O2 sensor must be before the cat but after turbo and not on the exhaust manifold because of high temperature. They also say an alternate acceptable location is 3 ft before the end of the exhaust pipe. (I know it contradict the "before cat" rule - but I'm just repeating the instructions)

what is the major difference ?

1. after the cat where exhaust starts
2. 3ft before the end of the exhaust pipe

Your right regarding the voltages. The voltafor the wideband and the o2 have to be the same to work accurately. The autometer wideband nexus works perfect with just crimping the wires together because it's a wideband configured to function with the 0-1 voltage. Just confirmed with them that the innovate wouldn't work that way.

I was wondering if you could do that, I have an 05 so I should be good just crimping the wires? can i buy a wideband gauge without the sensors then?
