Hey I got some new dyno numbers..
Lets start with car and mods first.
2003 G35 Coupe 5 speed automatic.
Mods:
Z tube
Crawford V4 plenum (old school)
Titek test pipes
X02 Dual
My best run I pulled off 240 whp and 220 TQ which was done in trip tronic in 3rd gear.
Here are two pics... One of them is with my a/f ratio which I have no idea how a/f ratio works.. Tell me if I'm good or not on that.
The tech told me that my car was running very good and consistent all the way through.

AFR is alittle low (12.5) at 6500RPM. It won't hurt anything but getting it to around 13.1-13.3 is optimal.

Oh well, maybe next time?

These numbers are meaningless if you didn't do a previous dyno with lesser mods/stock.
Always have a stock baseline dyno...and then dyno it again on the same machine!

4th gear is 1:1 on the 03-06 automatic G35's. Why would 3rd gear be optimal?
Nick,
Your quick question is anything but. Dyno in 3rd gear starting the pull around 3600 rpm to prevent downshifting. Proper coolant temp and air inlet temp are very important to getting good dyno numbers - and good street/track performance.
The 4th gear 1:1 ratio everyone quotes amuses me. Because of the torque converter (fluid coupling) the advertised gear ratios are almost irrelevant. Unless your Jim Wolf who's figured out how to fully lock up the TC in 4th.
If the dyno operator doesn't use the proper gear correction factor your numbers won't be accurate - especially on the DynoPack since it doesn't have a speed (RPM) pick-up.
There's lots to discuss and I'm not much for doing a PM essay. If you'd like you can give me a call and we'll talk early A/T Sedans.

Triptronic was used... When I dynoed in D it was a 4th gear pull from 40mph in 4th.. Car shifts early in 5 so I only got in the mid 230's in D.. This proves for performance you should always use triptronic instead of D

hey ninous26.....i have an '04...AT...with the basic breather mods as you....and after a TechnoSquare F-spec reflash , i'm pulling 270'ish whp....running on a 50/50 mix of 91 and 101 octane.....with just 91 i'm running bout 260'ish whp....so you would see some small improvements if you did a full reflash/tune.....
