New Before-&-After numbers

Henry has done what some of us has but many out here don't - and that’s research the hell out of what mods to use and plan the project... he has put together a stout performer and I'm sure after his tune he'll be a contender!
Nice numbers. Good gain with just 3 mods. You should be able to hang with a stock g37. A few more mods should be able to add some hp tq.
It's nice to see the gains with the FI set-up. Is this the biggest gain from a n/a set-up. The spacer gains 10whp according to motordyne. Anyone know what exhause set up provides the best gain?

HKS alone, or even with MD spacer may not perform as well as Wally's... there's a bunch of minor to moderate things to consider in the whole of things.
+1... By any chance would you have Wally's #'s and modifications? I'm just looking to see how much the G35 6mt Rev-up can push N/A without building the motor. MD has a good reputation for their spacers and MREV's. Hopefully they can keep up and give us a nice exhaust with some decent gains.
There's too many exhaust/intakes/mods out there for the G35. It would be nice to know which combination provides the best gains. Time to do some research.

You’d have to PM to see what all he did and what his dynos were... his car could race though.

I don't remember if he ever dyno'd his car. And even if he did, it was probably a different dyno so it would be impossible to compare.
I've raced Wally everytime we head out to the track (he doesn't have his G35 anymore though). And when he was full NA + tuned, and when I only had my exhaust & spacer, he would walk me pretty easily at the 1/4 mile (a few car lenghts)

When it comes to exhaust, most 2.25 & 2.5 inch exhausts provide similar gains throughout the powerband for the VQ35. At most, they only vary by a few hp. I'm very happy with my Fast Intentions exhaust- it looks great, sounds great, and performs great. I think looks & sound is a bigger factor when deciding for an NA exhaust since they all perform relatively similar to each other. (There are only a few exhausts that I have heard of not doing anything to improve performance).

Thanks for the info.. I pretty much knew exhaust gains wouldn't be much different from one to another. I was curious about the HKS exhaust which is a true dual. It seems as though there is not much difference between exhaust if we are talking about #'s.

Here's a little update:
I took the car to Shawn Church's dyno once again for 2 dyno runs.
I have to admit, for atleast a week or two before this dyno run, I had felt the car a little sluggish off of the line. Though I hadn't really redlined it to know if I had lost any power up top or mid-range.
And not surprisingly, the dyno supported my thoughts. I'm not sure exactly what the cause it, but I suspect it may be crappy gas (winter blend). It could be that I may running too lean, but the last two runs I did a few days ago didn't include AFR. I also have not really suspected a leak in the plenum or exhaust.
Many (thought not all) of the guys who dyno'd over at Shawn Church's dyno had lower numbers than expected. And many of them were knocking up-top (even stock G's). We had almost 30 VQ's for this dyno-day, so I have alot of cars for comparisons.
So, enough talking. Here's the dyno:
As you can see, I made less power with an additional modification. The top 3 runs were back in August. Mods included, as stated on the OP, is intake, exhaust, test pipes, and spacer. The two lower runs, which were conducted on the 8th of this month, was with everything stated before with the addition of the MREV2.
As you can see below, I made less power throughout the whole powerband. And there seemed to be significant loses at 2500, 4200, and big loses at 4800-5500 and past 6000 RPM's.

Do you have the data file for your stock runs? I never dynoed my car stock at Shawn's so out of curiosity, I'd like to do some comparisons?
