At 10AM this morning SLICK was tied down to the dyno at SPECIALTYZ in Chatsworth, CA. I listened to her scream thru over a half dozen pulls and the results were worth the cost. No more issues with a lean condition along with an additional 24 RWHP to enjoy, you can't find those results anywhere else at that price....

So my Tuner went out of biz

What to do... I live in northwest CT, used to drive up to DENT sport garage to have Matt K tune up my car with uprev. Man they were great, Matt is an electrical engineer and I definitely trusted his judgement. They charged me $150/hr for tuning because I'm a young'in I guess (18).DSG went out of business, even though I will probably never remove that sweet decal they gave me.
I'm sitting here next to a pair of headers, and about to port and polish that plenum of mine but this is all useless without a tune.
I'd love to be able to do datalog tuning with someone on the forum, I read up that Seymore4
is great.
Anyways, to datalog I'm going to have to buy that tuner cable aren't I?

I looked through the tuner directory, there really aren't any out here in CT especially for AWD.
I need the most affortable tuning option from where I stand, I used to be able to get a full tune for $175 plus gas at DGS, now what am I going to have to shell out?!

EDIT: R/T is the closest. My tune is close to where I want it, small fuel adjustments are all that are needed hopefully they will agree to E-tune. Who else offers this?

Most shops are going to want to get you on the dyno and won't do etuning, because that $150/hr is pure profit...

Also unless you can get your hands on the tuned rom file that the guys at DSG used whoever works on the tune next is going to have to start from scratch.. you can't just connect to the ECU and tweak a tune thats already on there.

Another issue is that Uprev quit selling blank cipher cables... You used to be able to buy the cipher cables for $200 without a license on them, and that would have given you Osiris Standard, but now they don't. So in order for you to be able to datalog and reflash the ecu you would have to either buy a used cable, or buy the tuner version upgrade ($400).. since thats the only way to get a cable without a license. Feel free to PM me and I'll talk you through all the options

Contact Scott at Ballistic Motorsports in Bow NH.. he has two available tuners one at Granite State Dyno in Hudson, NH (Alex) and the godfather of tuning himself Giles at HollyRoller Dyno.

Exclamation You can tune a G, but you can't tun-a-fish!

Looking for a shop in the DFW area that does good tuning. Some of you Tehas Dudes help me out here!

In need of a tune for my 2003 6mt in coastal South Carolina. Longtube headers, full exhaust, intake, lightweight flywheel.

I'd imagine Charleston, SC or Wilmington, NC would have something.. both are about 100 miles away from me.

opinions? reccomendations? referrals?

Jotech in Garland Texas has been around since the early days of import performance and tuning. Did a great job on my car, found 16 hp and 22 lb-ft of torque. Cost was $350 for the UPREV license, $400 dyno time and a $75 discount for being a DNI/DIE member (Dallas Nissan/Infiniti Enthusiasts).

You certainly paid a premium. Uprev license at retail is $300, then $400 for the tune on an 04? Whoooooo

$75 off, so was $675 total. Thats what they charge, only one other in the area I know of that does UPREV and its about the same price. Only other option is a 400 mile round trip to Austin for a place there.

Dropped a grand for wheels for my MTB so in comparison, the tune was cheap.

With an 04 you can easily do the etune route. Save some money and hassle trying to find a good tuner

Steve has tuned my car twice now; soon to be three.
