Gain 40wrhp

I don't know if i am in the right place to make this thread so bear with me.

I have a 03 G35 with hks true dual and a JWT cold air intake. I am looking to gain a quick 40 rwhp. I was thinking UTEC, plenum, and test pipes. I am mostly likely going to do a TT with in the next 18 months but I want something to hold me off till then. My biggest fear is going backwards so headers is not a option. To make a long story short I want 260 rwhp. Any ideas??

I think you will be close or over your goal with those mods once you get the utec tuned.

Headers would be a waste if going TT. If you can do a baseline dyno before you install your new mods then dyno again after the tune to see your gains.

Well as far as wasting money on the new mods you can still use them with the TT anyway except for the pop-charger.

But all of those mods would help with the TT also.

Thank you I will take notice of this. I decide to step up and go boost, the vortech will be by the end of next month. This should hold me off in till i am ready for TT. I am shoot for 350 rwhp this will be my training wheels. lol One more question would headers be a major upgrade with the SC? Once again thanks for the input.

doesnt even make any sense what so ever to buy a SC and go TT later on. There is NO resale value on blowers right now. That market is flooded with used ones. U can get a used greddy TT kit for a few dollars more than a SC!

just get the TT now.

+1 I agree dont waste your money on a SC if your plannin on going to TT. Your also gonna waste your money on some headers that wont be used in the TT setup. Maybe work on apperance if you havent already.

A peak gain of 40 rwhp? Not gonna happen with NA bolts-on's & a tune. You would need to atleast build an NA engine for that.

I total agree, but I found the SC used and great condition. A new one would be just as must as the TT. The SC will be a great learning curve and give me 350rwhp for half the price. Thanks a gain on the feedback.

Henry you have wheels now? How much did you gain with your mods after tune?

I think the OP will be close to his goal or at least gain 20hp on top of what he already has after a tune. He needs a baseline before the new mods to see where he's at.

you can do that with a used TT just keep it on low boost using WG or a good boost controller.

When you are ready for more power build the motor and turn up the boost.
