Motordyne plenum spacer installed

So I installed the spacer yesterday and everything runs great. My only question is I squeezed a small piece of rubber between the upper plenum and spacer (rubber that goes under the oil cap) which I dont think woud affect anything but I hear a small hissing noise when I accelerate. I figured the hissing noise was just the air intake sucking in more air now that there is more space in the plenum. Is my assumption right?

make sure that the rubber pice that gose around the oil cap is not Pinch between the upper and lower plenum when you install the spacer, thats where your hissing is coming from.

yes probably just more air.... but you really should pull the rubber out from in between the spacer. You are leaking air by doing this and you have a chance of rubber going in your manifold now. It really should not take you more then 10 minutes to loosen the bolts and take it out.

You NEED to get that out of there. That's air that's getting into your engine and not going through your MAF. I'm surprised your car is not running like crap....or is it?

there aren't really any cons. but you will notice a difference in power and sound. just make sure you install it properly and its better to have someone help you out.

OMG +1. probably running fairly lean which is not good, not to mention that air is getting into your engine unfiltered! "i suppose ill take the time to fix it" is the incorrect resposnse. the correct response is "ok, i will do that before i drive the car anymore so i dont do any perm damage to my engine, if i havent already"
