Ok so my friend was telling me i should chip my car. He said it will help with pretty decent gains for cheap. I was like well i been on G35driver for years and never seen this really if there were something cheap with big gains everyone on here would be getting it.

So i googled performance chip for g35's. This is what i found http://www.performancechipsdirect.com/Infiniti/G35-2Dr/ claims to gain 50hp and gain 3-6 MPG IS this true is it legit. Sounds like it would be cause it helps with the fuel to air ratio. I understand it wont gain you 50 probably but shoot even 20-30hp with 75 dollar chip is cool with me.

Am i missing something? Is this fake or what? Also if it works for the 2dr would it work for the 4dr as well? same setup right...

obviously its not 50hp but do u really think that there will be no gains what so ever from it not even +1hp
If no one has tried it how do we know it doesnt work? maybe you would see some gains not significant but **** 15hp is cool and better gas mileage as well.

 

look man honestly the closest thing to a "chip" for MOST cars is a tune on the ecu, if these really worked everyone would have one. The only cars i can think of are turbo cars that can benifit to them because of the line they are made to meet EPA standards but with small tweaks you can make some power out of it. Since our Gs are NA there anit much you can do.

That chip i bet is just a wire that you put by the MAF to trick it into reading more air flow. I ordered one for a civic once for a friend and thats what he got after i warned him. 2 pices of wire with a resisitor looking thing.

well of course im not dumb enough to actually order it with no proof it works. my friend said a good mod would be to chip your car but apparently not. Its not a big deal to me just wondering..

 

chips do exsist, but not for us, i think he probly thought since Gs are in the same class *** Bimmers, then same mods becuase Bimmers can be chipped and they really see gains.
