Bullydog Power Pup imressions

I bought this tuner based on posititve reviews I've read on the forum. I have a 2006 G35 Coupe with an auto tranny. I purchased it last week, did an update via their program and installed it on my car. Didn't work the first time so I called tech support. They updated it again. Went to install it on the car and it still didn't work. Called tech support again. It took about a week and a half to get an updated program that will work with my car. I successfully installed it today.

After installing the performance tune, I immediately took the car for a spin. I honestly noticed no difference. I thought I must've done something wrong so I reinstalled the stock tune and then the performance tune again. Took it out for several runs throughout the day today. I noticed absolutely no gain in power, anywhere in the power band. I was able to raise the rev limiter to 7100. That may help a little but the car has to be in manual shift mode to get to 7100.

I really wanted this to be a nice mod but to be honest, I think it's a waste of money for a 2006. I'm going to take a couple of videos over the weekend of the speedometer with and without the tune. I'll post them up and see if you guys and can see a difference. To make it fun, I won't state which is which and see how many guess right.

Hate to say it, but you probably didn't gain anything. Those generic reflahses tend to do very little. Especially from a company that is relatively new to the platform. Technosquare has the advantage of 100's if not 1000's of dyno's on different cars with ever conceivable mod combination. That allows them to actually make reasonable, calculated changes to fuel and timing (whereas almost all other flashes only attempt to compensate fuel). Personally, I chose Osiris/Uprev and don't regret it a bit. The initial base relash I got didn't really offer any performance gain, but once I got it dyno tuned........it made power.....everywhere. I have had my car retuned a couple of times over the months and the osiris always seems to be perfectly consistent and drivable. Hopefully Bulldog will release some new maps for you to cycle through and get some results.
