Dyno'd my car on a Mustang Dyno..
So in my local Nissan Enthusiast shop uses a Mustang Dyno and had a Dyno day so i wanted to see what my car was putting out.
Now i know the mustang dyno is called the heartbreaker but i made 195RWHP.
i was thinking i'd make atleast 220rwhp.
They said it's about what stock first gen VQ would make.
anyone else dyno they're cars on a Mustang? I find it a bit low...
Also this was a completely stock G35.

Wow, there can be any number of things that can be changed/calibrated on a dyno, but that seems pretty low. I have seen some stock g's/z's dyno in the 205 range on dynodynamics and mustang dyno's, but not many lower than that.

That actually seems about right to me... my stock revup put down 210 on a Mustang dyno.
Either way, people need to keep in mind that the dyno is a tuning tool and the before and after numbers mean more than how high or low the numbers are. And from what I've heard from different tuners, lower reading dynos are better for a more accurate tune.

They say the mustang is the most accurate dynamometer and can duplicate the results the best.
what pissed me off even more was it was a 6mt. not an auto lol. the car only has like 40k miles.

I always thought that unless you have an 05+ 6MT, the motors are all the same?
Dont worry about it. Mustangs read low and everyone is calibrated different. Dont be discouraged.
I was on the mustang dyno the other day and I put down 294whp supercharged @9.5PSI.
I once did a dyno @ 270whp on a mustang dyno and 4 days later-no changes whatsoever, did a dyno on the same dynojet I use for my other car-311whp.

theres not more drivetrain loss, its just that the shifts take longer in a AT vs a 6mt.
