Not true:

Several independant dyno's speak differently.

Is True: Rev-up's will gain more

For me I gained better performance (~20 HP) as well as better gas milage.
Weird huh? My air/fuel ratio was really messed up after all my boltons and even in "performance mode" I get more miles per gallon.

One of the best "mods" you can get IMO.
Haha, maybe that's why my MPGs went to crap just recently. Or it could be the fact that I now have a heavier foot because of the HFCs.

Kevin I think you've lost your mind. Tunes are well worth the money spent for a lot of reasons.

OP I can't believe that no one has told you yet that the Osiris tune isn't applicable for the 03 Gs because they have a different ECU. I believe you need to look at Technosquare for a tune. I don't know much about them but if you PM Jeff92se he should be able to help you out with more info. He's running on one.

Also the MREV2 plenum and spacer have been proven to bring good gains on a non-revup motor with a tune. Without, not so much.

I'm really debating an N/A tune, but I eventually want to go FI sometime next Spring. $600 something for tune/dyno time might not be worth it. Unless, it's just the initial license from Uprev is the expensive part? When I go FI, I plan to stick with Osiris.

you can stick with osiris - but i recommend haltech for driveability plus power reasons - I got alot more driveability + power out of my haltech setup instead of my original Utec...

With haltech Osiris works as a good tuning tool that only fine tunes the Haltech system - works well in conjunction with the Haltech, as a stand alone it is not that great from what i have read/heard... but to each their own I have heard of people running Osiris standalone on their FI setups - i guess that is just not for me...

Good to know. I wasn't aware the cars had different ECUs in 03.

Thanks for the correction.

Thanks for the info, I'll look into it. What do you mean better driveability?

There is more power under the curve in general - more usable power - also you can fully program with the Haltech providing your tuner with more options when tuning. Also, with my setup i was having warm start issues originally - the haltech alleviated that for me.

The Haltech is absolute overkill for your current mods - but if you do in fact plan on going FI - the Haltech is a great EMS to take full potential of your set-up and will make it so that you are not having to rebuy similar parts in the future.

It's my opinion that a properly tuned Uprev flash has the ultimate 'drivability'. It's pretty hard to beat the stock ECU with the thousands of hours and millions invested in solely managing the VQ.

You sacrifice some F/I safeguards but in general Osiris is an excellent choice for low/medium boost F/I on a budget.

I agree. We are an Osiris dealer / tuner and have seen some good gains with a custom tune.

OP: Get the supporting mods first that were already mentioned, then get a custom dyno tune.

Just to verify: The Uprev tuning will work on the 03-04 coupes but not the sedans?

not sure where that came from but only early 03 are non-compliant... all others work just fine.

^I've read different info on this site regarding this. And what jayK said is correct about it working only on the coupes?
