My boy with the 6MT was pushing 360 whp on a dynojet when he was on a meth-injection kit and a 150 shot. He was probably around 420 wtq though.

Its not HP that kills transmissions, but TQ.

You will get a 75 HP bump but you'll also be getting 100 TQ or so at that level. Be careful.

Are you using an RPM window switch? If so, what did you set it at?

You should def. get a Transgo VB kit. You don't want to risk the added power between shifts due to slow trans shifting. It will burn up your clutch packs rather quickly.

I would also think about getting the TransGo valvebody mod so you wont be bouncing off the rev limiter. It will also help the trans live a much longer life.Dammit i didnt see tollbooths post.

I ran with my 20's on (there's nothing like towing an anchor down the track). My nitrous bottle was low on pressure- never got past 600 psi so the car has a lot more than what is reflected in the times. The sub 9 ET made me smile though!! I gotta invest in some racing radials.

Best Run of the night was:
R/T :.366
60': 2.067
330': 5.841
1/8: 8.980
mph: 78.26

I will go back next Wed night with 16" wheels and a full bottle of NOS!!

Yeah, I'm not sure how much extra hp it is pushing but the added tq is frickin incredible. Much more added tq than hp according to my butt-dyno.

No RPM switch, just real careful about when I hit WOT. accidently hit it in first gear on one run and I just spun and had my worst ET of the night.

I'm gonna do the Transgo valve body and a tranny cooler then increase to 100-125 shot!

^^^ Good decision on the vb and trans cooler and you will not believe how fast the trans will shift.

^^ yup

Be careful when bumping up the nitrous. For a 100 shot you normally wanna retard timing by 2*, for a 125 I would pull 3*.

Thanks for all the great feedback. YOU GUYS ROCK!! When I went and got my bottle filled, I only had 8 oz left, so I was practically shooting nothing on that sub 9 run.

It is a basic Nos wet shot kit. It sprays if I hit WOT- at any RPM. So, it makes driving a little more tricky. I can't WOT in any gear until about 3750 rpm- then mash and the NOS kicks in.

The NOS WOT switch forced me to be more gentle on the throttle off the line- If I hit WOT it will shoot Nos and the rears go up in smoke. That happened on my second run. But my 1st run- I had some traction problems but I hit 80.37 mph!! That would have been the only run that even had half the pressure I really needed. I would expect my 1/4 mile times to be pretty darn low, because the car really starts pulling strong at the end of the 8th.

I also changed my rear diff (3.57?) lsd since last time at the track- that helped my launch . My best 60' times were with less brake torque than I usually had done in the past and really almost 1/2 throttle at first and trying to get 0% tire spin off the line. It seems counter-intuitive but the "slower" I started- the faster my 60' times got. It is all traction based. You spin- you lose. I had my 20's with the rubber bands at 25 psi.

I'm going back to the track with 16" wheels and a full bottle. BTW, I will also fill up my Nos tank I also bought a finger trigger so I can go WOT without Nos if I want to- like in first gear and then just leave the gas mashed and spray with my finger when the rpm's get to 3750.

Lower ET's to come . . . stay tuned!!

very nice sir.
Really making it sound teasing for me lol. Been thinkin about 75 shot wet shot wit window switch for a while now.
But knowing myself, i'll probably fill up 20times a month.
should be fun with my AWD launch lol

You need to get a window switch - or at least an activation switch.

If you get an activation switch then you will at least be able to turn it off in first gear and then can manually activate it for 2nd +

Window switch would be best so that you can cut it off around 6400 rpms and prevent hitting redline while spraying - thus saving you from what you dont want.

I have a friend that ran 12.05@112 in a 5at 350z yesterday with just a 75 shot. His 60ft was 1.640 and his 1/8th was 7.6.

I have a 100shot on my auto G35, but I have yet to use it yet. I want to be tuned for it first hopefully that will happen in a week or so.

Its def possible to run in the 12s with a 75 shot at a low DA. He must have had slick in order to spray in 1st gear and get traction enough for a 1.64 out the gate though.
