IMO the $675 that you pay for an accessport could go to far better things for the car. You spend the same price for a professional to dyno tune your car and upload the Osirus software. Every motor has different charateristics to how they react to mods, Cobb is just going off a baseline of how your car should react to mods and getting you decent performance while Osirus is getting you as much performance as the motor can handle.

Are you comparing a generic map to a custom tune? If both were tuned on a dyno the gains would be similar.

I understand if you had a custom map made but there is a small percentage of people that have the know how to make their own custom map off the accessport. Most either use the stage 1 or stage 2 maps that come with the accessport. Running on a dyno is the best way to find out how your engine is reacting to the mods.

You can pick up a cobb for $350 these days. Can you tell me what can be done with an Uprev that cannot be done with the Accessport?

Isnt there a difference between accessport and tuner. I think for me it was more of that it said it would do certain things and then they wouldnt work right. For example it described how it could show live data, and one of those was A/F ratio, it never worked right for me and I called Cobb and they said that they havent updated the software for the A/F ratio to work on the G35 AP. Why would you advertise something and it isnt even avalible yet.

Yes, I meant as far as tuning, but that is a good point and a plus. I agree the osiris is a nice piece of equipment and is probably the best option for most. If however one wants to self-tune the Accessport is definitely not worthless like a lot of peeps think. Just ask a Subi guy...

03 - 04's did not work well, the 2004.5-2006 with the wideband sensor work

Accessport is the hardware, AccessTUNER Race is the free tuning software.

Thank you, Cobb has dedicated all of its efforts to turboed cars and doesnt even waste there time with NA anymore. BTW you can change maps as well through your steering wheel cruise control with the Uprev. But who cares about changing maps anyway once you get the map that makes all your mods flow thats the one that im gona run all the time.

If i had an STI i could buy an Accessport and instantly get like 40hp, have launch control, and change all the settings to my motor. One of the first mods id get if I were a subaru guy but I have an Infiniti and you dont even come close to those numbers with the accessport.

Yea right........did you ever wonder why you try to help members here on DRIVER when they know all the answers anyway?
I guess when you post your opinions you don't bother reading the initial thread....Cobb no longer makes anything for N/A G35s/350Z or 370Gs or Zs. I was in contact several times with Cobb and received the very same answer from everyone. Unless you're FI Cobb can't help you....bottom line!! You'll never achieve the RWHP gains with Cobb that you can with Osiris/Dyno tune. My cost was $550 from SpecialtyZ in Chatsworth 818-703-6272....Gary

^^^ wrong........did nobody read my post?? true cobb dropped any further time and effort into the NA vq.........but if u have a cobb dealer that kept his license for the na vq....he can still tune you with the cobb tuner licensce and get u the power u want

but yea good choice to swap to osiris.
