Planning to swap out my Stillen intake back to 06 rev up box. The whistle from Stillen is getting annoying...

Also planning to swap out my HR Y pipe for a JIC or AAM y pipe.

Do you think I'll need a Osiris retune? I ask because the intake would affect the A/F ratio. But is the intake and y pipe significant enough for the retune? I'm not going after the 2 or 3 whp, but more so wanting the car to run smoothly.

If you are worrying about a/f ratio I say no you don't need a tune,it won't change much but the Osiris tune is good to have even on a fully stock car. As for your intake I would go with a 350z tube and and a k/n filter with a heat shield. Less intake whistle. The reason y the intake is bothering you is because of your exhaust, with just hr y pipe you still hear the intake more IMO I know ppl with stillen cat back and you can barely hear the intake. It's loud but not crazy attention grabbing loud I would just go for the stillen cat back instead of just changing y pipes. Back to the tune I have seen ppl gain with a stock car with Osiris tune. Plus you get a couple of maps plus valet mode where your car cannot go over 2k rpms. It's a great reflash. This begin said go for it. Just know you will have to retune if you get the full modding bug. Good Luck buddy.

 

I like my car quiet on normal driving conditions but the nismo and H R Y pipe is just too quiet. Oem exhaust is actully louder under 3k. That's why I am thinking about the JIC / AAM y pipe. Hopefully won't be too loud tho. I'll try to find a Y pipe and see if it'll cover the whistle.

As for the osiris tune, it was probably the best mod that was comparable to MD spacer+Mrev 2 combo. That's why I kinda wanna retune it. I love my valet mode, you can use it as a generic launch control haha


I love my nismo but its too loud with hfc and too quiet with H R Y pipe... Maybe its time for the ark grip or modify the oem gtr exhaust
