^He's saying if you go cheap your not going to get the best performance.

There's a thread on here somewhere showing the dyno results of a different brand plenum spacer compared to MD's spacer on the same car, the results were in MD's favor. MotorDyne's products are pricey but are proven on the VQ platform.

There's a reason Cobb discontinued their products for the VQ35. Gains can be had for cheap with most cars that come with a factory turbo, its not the same with these cars. Osiris is the best reflash available so far. And if there is something better, I have yet to see the proof on a dyno sheet.

FWIW, you guys sold me on the MD iso thermal spacer. I found one brand new on eBay (from a vendor) for $204 shipped. I figured it's only a little bit more for the one everyone raves about.

Once everything arrives, i'll have a grounding kit, 350z tube, and the 5/16 spacer.

That just leaves the tune. And I want to figure out how to get this car to shift quicker (without doing a transgo kit).

Ok, time to bring this thread back to life.

After doing some more research, I think i'm going to stick with either a Cobb or Hypertech tune. The Osiris, while showing better results, yields little resale value. The Hypertech and Cobb can be unmarried and resold for close to the price I could buy it for, which is very appealing.

So, with that said, any additional comments on the Hypertech vs. Cobb question?
