tuning a G35

Hello I have a G35x and want to know if the dealers tune up their cars with DYNOJET 248/224 or is that a step up from what they do? I heard that using DYNOJET 248/224 machine will adjust the tune of your car perfectly.

So far I have installed new plugs and air filter. Cleaned the MAF and the injectors but the idle is smooth at 250rpms. I get terrible gas milage still even though it seems tuned up. I don't know if I should still bring it in to a dealer to do any fine adjustments. What else can they do?

Here is the proof video for the engine that runs on 250rpms. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1j0c-8wbmA

I took it to the dealer today and they put it on the meter and I saw that their meter said 650rpms so that means that my gauge is messed up.

The DEALER cannot fine tune your car. They can only flash it to nissan specifications... which actually really suck for G35's.

There's a lot to be gained by having a custom tune, but you have to override the stock ecu settings first. An Uprev ecu reflash is pretty much the industry standard, it allows you to fine tune everything--- throttle control, fuel, timing, speed/rev limiters, etc. If you want to get on a dyno you will have to go to a place with an all wheel drive dyno, and not many of the Uprev tuners have those, the majority are only RWD. Good news is that with the Uprev software you can datalog the required parameters and have everything done remotely, all you have to do is drive around and record stuff then upload the new tunes.

The gauge starts at 500. Look at the marks down from 1k. If you were at 250 the needle would be in the empty area below the first hash mark.

A dynojet is just a type of dyno. That 248/224 looks like someone's power numbers. If you really want to find out what your afr is you need as shop to throw a wide band sensor on and dyno.

Yes, you are right! I realized that after awhile. Had the car put on a meter and got embarrassed when I realized that. lol
