If my memory serves me correctly, you are here in Socal and use the Stillen facility by the airport for all your work.

Question - How are headers CARB legal? I thought they were a huge no-no here in CA, which is why we always see the "for off road use only" disclaimer proudly displayed on the aftermarket parts sites.

Not to thread jack but................ I've seen you post this a few times and to be honest I'm skeptical of anyone that claims near 300hp with bolt on mods. I know you have a 350z air box with a fresh air inlet but what about the rest of the intake, Z tube, throttle body, plenium? I'm sure I'm not the only one that would like to see the dyno sheet.

Either way, comparing two dyno graphs from two different dynos, let alone different kinds of dynos, is pointless. With the variance between dynos in addition to run conditions, which our church automotive fanboi failed to post above, we have no idea who actually had a stronger dyno. He didn't even say what year his car was, auto or manual, etc. I could come in and say "well my car put down 430whp totally NA" and be talking about my M5...
How is your assumption considered a fact?

Also most all dynos use SAE J1349 correction, which eliminates run conditions.

Finally people comparing peak hp numbers is pointless. It is the curve that matters. Plus it doesnt matter if you NA G makes 270 or 290... either way you are slow.

Seriously I cant believe kids are squabbling over minute differences between bolt on mods. It isnt like any of you actually do any real performance driving in your grocery getters. A bolt on G is a bolt on G, unless you get FI you will not see any real performance difference. Wheels/Tires and brake pads will make more of a performance difference than any other bolt on mod. True be told, your intakes/exhaust really doesn't do anything more than make the car sound different. Your 3-5% hp gain really doesn't mean jacksh*t when you are driving a 3500 lb car.

This picture basically summarizes people comparing NA dyno gains on a G35.

I've been saying the same thing about this platform. The only way to make real power is with FI. Wasting money with intakes and exhausts unless you have the camshafts replaced, which most do not have done.

Vortech SC was the first performance mod done to my car after owning it for 8 MOs and 7800 miles back in Dec '04.

See my first post...I make ot pretty clear that I wasn't in it for the gains. Was in it for correcting the AFR and having a safe tune. Then the church fanboi started posted where I should have went. Whatever who cares.

I didn't do bolt on mods to make my G35 a rocket. I did it to make it my own and get a bit more sound out. I have more invested in my suspension and brakes than in bolt on engine mods. Going straight is the most boring form of going fast. I just drive the M5 if I feel the itch for more power.

As for headers the headers I have are carb approved and have an EO sticker and everything. SMOG guy tests my car and just notes the EO number for my intake and headers and that's that.

God I wonder why anyone even posts in this forum anymore. Any time anyone makes a post you get half the crowd turning it into a pissing contest and another group of FI snobs wondering why someone didn't invest 10k into their car to get power...I'd rather go buy a better car.

You forgot to mention the percentage of people who post results of basic bolt on mods for the 1000th time and expect instant verification from random people on the internet, that what they did is something amazing or ground breaking. Then they throw fits and cry when people don't give them acknowledgement for the thousands they spent on bolt on mods for very minimal gains on a slow car.

So here is your cookie. Feel better now?

All I see is a couple of guys bitching about a thread they have no interest in, if you're not interested in a topic why read the thread? Move on, & take your cookies and light sabers with you.

Some people like to know...but I'm glad you spend your day trolling threads...means you aren't f*cking up anything important in the real world.

Anyway, drive carefully. Wouldn't want you crashing your dick. Oops I meant car.

Thanks for the cookie.

Don't be mad bro. You're so scary behind that keyboard. Just like mommy said.

Upload the image to your garage and post a link, that's probably the easiest way.
