$600 Osiris tune: Good deal?
Hey guys,
I just called my local Nissan tuner and got a quote for an Osiris tune. The guy I talked to said the Osiris license was $300 and the tune another $300. From what I've heard from friends this is a pretty good deal, but I was curious as to what others have paid. I have a k&n drop in, motordyne 5/16, and Berk HFCs and I know what to expect, just wondering, is this a good deal?
Thanks

The main benefit to owning the cable is that you can reflash back to stock later on and transfer the license to a new vehicle or sell it used. When you just get dyno tuned you're pretty much out that $600. You can also use it to check and clear codes, datalog, and reflash updates to the tune yourself so you don't have to go back to the shop if you ever need anything changed.
As long as you don't have an 03 we can tune it with datalogs over email, for an NA car with bolt-ons there really isn't that much difference between etuning and dyno tuning... except that you don't get that pretty dyno sheet.

Clearing your fuel settings with the click of a button is worth it to me- identifying trouble codes... Troubleshooting. Dude- you want the cable.
Even getting a decent obdII cable is going to cost you some $$$- and you'll want one of those eventually. Nevermind the other benefits including being able to develop a sense of what is actually going on with your car through learning the software interface.
My only regret is not getting it first instead of last.
