I just flashed my 2003 G35 with the first Osiris ROM they send you over email when you buy Osiris Standard. The map switching works,but I dont feel much of a difference when I drive. I gave them a list of all my mods. Does this base map actually include the tuned parameters based on your mods or do I have to send them datalogs?

Also, do I absolutely need the Innovate WB O2 sensor to datalog for them? Does the ECU need to learn itself to the base map to feel a difference? Should I reset fuel trims? I've never done any ECU flashing before, so I'm terribly confused.

 

The 03's don't have factory widebands so yes you do need to get either an aftermarket wideband O2 sensor to datalog with or do pulls on the dyno to check the AFR.

You can't datalog what we would need to dial in your tune remotely with your car. the base tune should be all set up, without looking at it I can't say for certain tho. Email them and let them know you didn't notice any improvement... Everyone I've tuned said it was night n day

 

Called UpRev and was told that I need to send them a datalog. I understand thats the best option, but isn't the base tune supposed to do something? Isnt it basically what the mail in flash does?

 

I'm new to G35's and to Osiris, so a lot of this is new to me as well, but typically OEM tunes are very conservative. I would expect the majority of the gains you experience to be seen in a base tune, with minimal gains realized moving to a custom tune. It really depends how aggressive they felt comfortable going with their base tune though.

Maybe a dumb question, but what fuel are you running? If you're on 87 the stock tune was likely knock limited and pulling some timing already. I'd be willing to bet Osiris's tune advances timing a good bit, but as soon as your knock sensor picks up detonation it's going to pull timing right back to that safe level your stock tune was running and you won't see any gains.

 

I only run 91 Octane. The car feels literally the same as before I flashed it. Unless the OsirisAC200 ROM they sent me isnt the base tune, then I feel like I wasted $500 :/.

 

What are your mods?

Seymore tuned my car and there was definitely a dramatic increase in the feel of the car. All I have is an intake spacer and catback.

 

Take some datalogs and send them in. It's entirely possible their basetune is essentially stock so there's no risk of loading a dangerous tune to someone's car before reviewing the logs. In that case you wouldn't see any gains until you receive the updated tune. Keep us posted on how it goes, I'm interested to see how it turns out.

 

I have a plenum spacer, popcharger and a full header back so I should definitely feel some sort of a difference. I'm gonna take her to a Dynojet sometime and send them those logs. It's cheaper to do three runs than buy a wideband.

I have an 06 6mt rev up and am looking at the standard tune from uprev. With the rev up platform would I see significant results? I have a k&n drop in, 3in intake tube, nwp 75mm throttle body and spacer, kinetix v+ upper plenum, motordyne mrev2 lower plenum, stock headers, art test pipes, and borla cat back exhaust.
