Getting Uprev on Tuesday.

Getting Uprev done on Tuesday and have a few questions. How long does it take? and how many pulls do they do? Also, I just got an oil change done and my tires have maybe 5k miles on them, any thing else I should be aware of before hand or other prep work? My K&N cone air filter is less a year old too, so I dont think I need to clean/recharge it.

Bring a quart of oil! looks like you have an 04 non-revup, even though you just changed your oil, it is best to bring an extra quart just in case, check your dipstick before the dyno run and add if necessary. The duration varies, it could take an hour or 2 depending how skilled the tuner is.

This is just personal preference but I would opt out on your current intake setup with a cone filter especially if it is expose inside the engine bay (heat soak). Alternatives are stillen intake kit or oem rev-up airbox with z-tube.

Completely up to you.

I think your talking about this "power duct" that says Stillen, came with my z-tube purchase from stillen, so i think im set there. also carry a quart of oil in my trunk at all times. 2 hours doesn't seem too bad, even if it takes a little longer. do you know how many pulls they put the car through?

Perfect, that's what I meant. I can't exactly recall how many pulls but it sounds like you are set to go. Gl and enjoy

How many pulls/ how long it takes depends on MANY factors. Tuner's experience/ skill level, how the car responds to the tune, if its too hot and they need to let it cool down, if the dyno works properly, how long the tuner WANTS it to take (no joke I know guys who check their email on the dyno to give it the appearance of taking longer)..etc etc.

For a dyno tune I would budget 3 hours from start to finish including strap up time.

I would strongly recommend replacing your spark plugs if you haven't in the last 25K miles. NGK iridiums either stock heat range or 1 step colder.

will definitley post results. and spark plugs were done less than a year ago, i got the better option they offered at autozone. if i remember right they had a cheaper plug, but i got the ones that were a few bucks more i really dont remember the model. i know they werent a step colder though. as far as the tuner taking more time, thats super shady! they gave me a flat rate though so i'd hope they want to finish faster. the spot is reputable and Gary recommended it.

Almost all places charge a flat rate for a basic NA flash and tune

Took about 3 hours, partly because the flex tube between the Z-tube and intake had a tear in it. They were able to tape it up to seal it, then do the pulls. I think it was a total of 8, two were partial because of the leak in the flex tube. Didn't use any oil but mine goes through a quart every 5500 miles or so. Got 19 hp and 22 lb-ft torque gains.
