Raging Bull Texas Stampede!!!
#16
Well folks another Raging Bull Texas Stampede has come and gone. And what a Stampede it was! 697 miles of the best roads in Texas. Running on a brand new race track in the POURING RAIN! Eating at some of the best places in Texas with some of the best people in Texas. Driving our ASSES OFF for 700 miles was wonderful.
John put together the best driving event ever, he deserves all the credit for making this what it is. John will remember this for a while also! (wink, wink)
Also a big thank you and a handshake to Rene, our instructor for the classroom session of our race track experience and for being our driving instructor on the track. She is a wonder behind the wheel.
The mods on my car performed flawlessly. I am so happy with the way it runs and handles now. The VDC only came on twice and that was in some 15 mph turns that we did at way over the limit.
I will post a lot more, but I am completely whipped. All I want to do is go to bed.
God Bless you all on Driver.
Bill

I didn't take many pics this year, mostly vids (HUGE ones) but here are a few that I did take:
This was the "Line Up" at Harris Hill Race Track
We ran in the rain the whole damn time, it was till a blast. I could not believe how much grip we had on that track. I got to sit in on some "Hot Laps" (in the rain) in a BMW Z4 M version. Wow! I didn't know you could go that fast and brake that hard in the rain!
This was Lunch in New Bransfels at the Hill Country Grill. This was an old bank that they remodeled and turned into a great place to eat.
In 1972 the movie "The Getaway", staring Steve McQueen and Ali McGraw, was filmed there.
This was the Safe door. In 1922 the "Newton" gang took Nitro and blew the door off and thru the wall out into the street! They said they found coins many blocks away. It's now the wine cellar.
These are the bars that Steve McQueen cut in the movie, they left it cut.
Some of the cars out side the Y-O Ranch Hotel in Kerrville
More cars in Kerrville
Our "fearless" leader at the drivers meeting.
My wife took more but I have not had the time to download them yet.
Anyone know a good program to edit MP4 files?
