Got a free entry from last year so I'm going to the Motorsport Nationals, anyone else?

 

Thought about it....it is a 7 hr drive for me...Is it worth it?

 

I probably wouldn't if I lived 7 hr away. But I definitely would have for the shows before 08, actually got a trophy in 07!
In 08 NOPI canceled the nationals in Atlanta and the Motorsport Nationals were thrown together at the last minute and honestly they weren't very good. But this year the Motorsport Nationals have had a year to plan, and they have the Atlanta Motorspeedway where NOPI used to be, but not to long ago NOPI Motorsports announced they would be having a national show in GA this year, so we'll see...
On the other hand, if enough G drivers decide to come, who cares about the other cars!
NICO has a good showing every year, but with there being two shows on the same weekend I'm not sure what will happen.

 

hmmmm, tempting....and I know bout all the bankrupt stuff, but we'll see....What is the date on this one again? ANd what other show is goin on that weekend?

 

The Motorsport Nationals (what replaced the NOPI Nationals last year) is at the Atlanta Motorspeedway (the old site of NOPI) on September 19, 20

NOPI is back this year with a show they're calling the "Tunerfest Shootout" (not the Nationals) on the 19th in a different location.

I would say if you're not going to enter your car, go to the NOPI show Saturday, then catch the Motorsport Nationals Sunday.

Hey whats up guys, just wanted to let u guys know that we have 5 cars rolling from palm bay fl, and joining up with another group from orlando to head up there if anyone in the south area is intrested, we can pit stop, no prob. hope to see more rollers up there!

What time are you planning on heading out? is it just you also? the group from orlando and most of us could not get the day off, so were decided on leaving after work, so we can roll together. the group will be at jax by 9 p.m. we will still have time to lap the track, it is scheduled for sat. morning this year. let me know if youre still intrested.

 

Yeah, just me but I've got someone from Panama City riding along. We're probably leaving out way before then, maybe even thursday, and we'll be taking either 75 if we leave from Tallahassee or going through Dothan and Coloumbus if we leave from PC. Sorry guys, I'd like to ride along but I guess I'll just see you at the show. If anything changes I'll let you know.

 

Oh ok, hopefully we ll meet up there, maybe we can roll down together on sunday, take care, see you guys in atlanta!
