Bringing this one back. Went to the dealer today and a tech looked at the bluetooth. After about a minute he suggested to the advisor to order a new unit. They indeed are having issues with the blutooth itself. He even tried his phone with it.

The number displayed is always incorrect too
700w here. Having all the same issues. Looks like a phone issue and not the car itself....

Have I told you all recently how much I love the search function?

I've been having really bad reception-the person on the other end of a call usually complains about static and cutting in-out as well as overall poor reception. One search brought up a bunch of posts about similar problems and now I know to go to the dealer. This is the first car with bluetooth, actually first time using bluetooth at all, and good to know its not normal.

07 g35 6mt coupe.
verizon motorola razr v3 phone.

thanks.

my bluetooth works great actually. I use it all the time...really comes in handy being that i have a 6mt. Every so often I get the "what" from whoever im talkin to but thats usually if i have windows down or ac blastin.

I will say that the voice commands and phone book dont work as well with my treo 700w as they did with my motorola q. Im guessing because the q used windows mobile 5.1 as opposed to 3.1 with the treo. To bad the Q was a terrible phone lol.

Palm has an update for the 700p. I have Sprint and to get the update you have to have a SD card reader that you can hook up to your PC. The update includes improvements to the 700p bluetooth software. It is a great improvement. I haven't had any problems since I upgraded the software.

8800 is flawless so far, downloads, call quality etc

which is funny cause i hate the 8800 bluetooth with a ear bud, signal isnt strong enough - I guess the car has a bigger bluetooth unit.

My blackberry Pearl and Nokia E61 sounded great and had no issues. None of the Treos I have had (650, 700P or 680) worked every well at all. The sound quaility was ok, but the phones had issues staying connected. My new iPhone sounds awful and people often complain they can't hear me, but this is also true when using a bluetooth headset on the iPhone so that could be a issue with my phone and not the G.

I have a Blackberry 8700C

It works fine with the Bluetooth in my G35 Sport. Sound quality is great, reception is great, no dropped calls.

I only had a VR issue that was (temporarily) fixed by the software upgrade during an oil change visit.

For you folks with the problem of other people hearing you ... try turning up the outgoing volume. There is a menu pick for it in the car.

you can also adjust the phone volume by using the radio controls while on a call. I posted a thread about this as it recently worked for me. I also posted that you could do it through the SETUP command and was b1tchslaped. I guess it was SETTINGS...
