Anyone here got Radar detector yet?

I've been in a much slower car for 4 years now; however, G35S is very fast and very easy to speed. Anyone here have a radar setup / what brand / model etc. Also i'm in a state where radar is illegal therefore I need a hidden place and a kill switch.

I got a Valentine One tucked nicely right under the rearview mirror using the Invisicord. Pictures are below. I believe Beltronics came out with a radar detector called the STi Driver not too long ago which is specially made for people like you. Its completly invisible to radar detector detectors, otherwise known as VG2, so its specially made for owners who drive where radar detectors are illegal. Heres the link: http://www.beltronics.com/sti.html

V1 here too... Had it since I started driving and I won't give it up! Once you have the arrows you'll never look back

There was someone on here who put the V1 display in his mirror and hid the rest. Came out great.

I love your setup, can you give us some detailed instruction on how to hard-wire and mount the V1? Also, can you give us some feedback on how V1 is working out for you in the G? I'd really like to get one of those, but I'd like to know more info on it first. Any input would be appreciated.

The entire installation process takes literally 2 minutes when you purchase an "Invisicord" from here: http://www.invisicord.com/index.html

I guess you can technically say you are hardwiring the V1 but in reality all you are doing is plugging the Invisicord from your V1 to the back of your rearview mirror.

The entire step by step tutorial can be found here: https://g35driver.com/forums/showthr...ght=invisicord

As far as the V1 goes, it is an absolute charm to have. It comes with very durable heavy duty suction cups that basically glue themselves to your windshield as you can see in my pictures but the great thing is that they come off without no effort at all so installation is a breeze.

As far as how its been working for me, I absolutely love it. I used to own a Viper radar detector which was decent but the range on the V1 blows me away. Just earlier today I was doing my normal 80-85mph on the freeway in the left lane when my V1 went off with the arrow pointing forward. My instinct automatically made me slow down and switch lanes and lo behold about 1/4-1/2 mile up the freeway, a cop sittin there on the median. When the cop was out of sight, I returned to the left lane and resumed my speed when all of a sudden the warning went off again but this time the arrow was pointing behind me. I immediately slowed down and switched lanes once again and I look in the sideview mirror and I see that same damn cop now passing me on the left lane. I never saw him take off from the median but the V1 sure did. I guess the saying is true "once you go arrows, you'll never go back"

You can get away with radar detectors like the Viper and all but if you have the money to spend then I wouldnt recommend anything else than the V1. Especially with the emergence of the Invisicord, setup and use have become childs play. Hope I helped!

Thank you so much for the input! Now I am ready to put my hands on a V1 AND the invisicord. Again, I appreciate your inputs!
