While having my first oil change this morning at the dealership I checked out the iPod interface in a new G37 coupe. It's right below the RCA input jacks. The parts dept guy did not know anything about a kit for the 07's though.

 

Picked up my 08 G35 yesterday. Hooked up the Ipod via the harness and it works great. I just wish the Navi would allow paging through songs via voice recognition. The VR works great at starting the iPod, but nothing much more than that... Of course, the same goes for POI, etc.. Wish there was a update for that functionality.

 

When I went in yesterday for my oil change they told me that they think they have a kit but it is overpriced and to go to car toys and have them do something. But how will they get the touchscreen functionality? I do not think that is a good alternative... but maybe they can do something

 

You can buy aux input/output cord for the 07 which will plug in the ports inside the center soncole and play it through the aux. button

 

you may have the updated version of the standard vs alternate command mode. they deleted some vr commands. check your settings. If you don't have this version, you should be able to navigate through your ipod menu using the steering wheel buttons. (status, up/down, back buttons)
