My Ipod Solution, at least for now...

Here is my solution for mounting and using my Ipod in my 07 G35S. I thought this would be the best way until there is a full Ipod interface. The mount is from Panavise, the cradle is from Dice Electronics and the Ipod connection is from Belkin. The Belkin unit charges and runs the Ipod. I am using the RCA connection in the armrest. The sound is great. I don't have any steering wheel controls accept for the volume. At this point that is fine. I use the Ipod shuffle feature 90% of the time.

The Escort 8500 is mounted using Mikes Mount and the wiring is from Invisacord. This whole setup works perfectly! If you have a radar detector I would recommended Mikes Mount.

question about the radar, what did you hardwire it to? I have a v1 and in my previous setup I had it wired to a fuse, which was in the car. Now the fuse box is hard to reach, so I was thinking about some other place behind the dash I guess. Any ideas?

Here is my iPod Touch setup. I bought the mount from ProClipUSA.com (they are pricey, but make the best mounts I've used!). I also have the Apple A/V $50 composite cable so I can charge and listen to the iPod with one cable and watch slideshows or videos. Too bad they don't make the cable in black, I am considering painting it. You will also see my Garmin Nuvi mounted in the backround, which tends to look crowded, but I only have it out when I am using it, which is rare. You will also see the center console with the Video Ground Loop Isolator and the Audio Ground Loop Isolator to reduce static and noise since the Ipod is being charged. You will also see I used a radioshack wire clip to keep the Ipod cable sturdy, so it doesn't get lost under the seat or on the side.

Ok, so screw paint, it's messy and costs more than electrical tape! Looks better now.....damn Apple and their white cables. As you can see now, the cabes are hardly noticeable on the side of my seat.

The Panavise mount looks great!

Can you that Panavise to mount a Nuvi 760 high up on the center console next to the radio controls?

Not sure about the 760, the only drawback to mounting it there is I have to take the gear shift out of Park so I can snap on the Nuvi. I hate mounting the sunction cups as they always fall off and are distracting me when I drive.

Can you use the I-pod mount above to mount a Garmin Nuvi to the RIGHT of the center stack parallel to the clock.
