Bluetooth Microphone... Am I alone on this issue?

Hi guys, long time reader, first time poster. I'm assuming this may have been dealt with before, but I haven't seen the thread (or found it in my search).

I love the bluetooth integration on the G, but EVERYONE i talk to tells me that I'm either:

a. Calling from a cave
b. Stuck in the middle of a tornado

Neither of which are true. I'm using an infiniti bluetooth "approved" phone (AT&T 8525).

Is it a microphone issue? Is it my phone?

I'm concerned because the bluetooth law goes in effect (in CA) in July...

Anyone else? I took it into the dealer, and they said everything is fine, so not sure what to do.

Ditto...I think its your phone.

I had a Razr that sounded terrible. Then I got a Nokia 6555 that sounds fine, but not great to the listener. But my Blackberry has always sounded perfect. So my experience is that it just varies phone to phone.

I haven't had any complaints about the sound from my Blackberry. It sounds like its the phone...

Wow, thanks for the response all. I'm going to try my wife's phone as well and get a comparison from a few different calls (she's got the razor).

It's a disappointment I guess that they "certify" the phone will work, but in the end it doesn't quite do the trick. Bummer...

Every once in a while someone will tell me they can't hear me clearly (iPhone), but mostly they say it sounds great. So may well be your phone.

there is a setting to adjust the volume (gain?) in setting/phone setting. Try that. I think there is one setting for incoming and one for outgoing.
