I would like to install a Beltronics 975r remote radar detector in my G35x. I was thinking of putting the main control unit in the ashtray. I then need to run cables to the front and rear of the car.

To supply the main unit with power, I would use the power and ground from the lighter.

Because I need to run cables to the front and back of the car, I need to go thru the firewall that is between the engine compartment and the interior cabin.

 Can anyone suggest a way to run the cables, front and back?
 I am also looking at a way to take apart the console to access the wires underneath the lighter.
